ICE officers are getting charged with assault. Tariff refunds have started. NATO just gave Ukraine all the money it needed for years. Democrats won the redistricting war. High gas prices and inflation are permanent given that the Republicans have upended the world order and erased America's influence. Crushing dissent, using the legal system against the media, defunding your local police in order to create a federal secret police force, enriching a small group of favored donors, threatening citizenship and attempting to outlaw elections are the auspices of communist authoritarians, which is what the Republican Party has devolved into. Loss after loss for Trump in the courts, on top of a disastrous war where he's been busted lying every day, sets the Republican Party up for decimation at the midterms.
My republican friends need to remember the entire issue with Trump taking classified docs versus the docs photographed still in their boxes next to Joe's corvette. Trump is on tape showing classified docs from his bathroom regarding Iran to guests at his club. Trump wasn't even President, but he was bragging about what the USA could do to Iran. This was after he ripped up the peace deal that Obama spent two years getting Iran to sign, and assassinating their military head. We are right now at this very moment staring at the situation that Jack Smith's indictment of Trump warned us about. It's as if we have a junkie president who just can't perform the duties. Everything about Trump and his actions are not only illegal, they have been proven to be, but his popularity with the right wing has so far gotten him off the hook. Iran attacked our bases, killing people, attacked our allies, killing people and today they have more control over the flow of oil than they have ever had in history. Iran beat Trump, beat him badly.
We are staring at a trend. The Republicans have been explaining how easy war is since Nixon. Yet all we have is a very long list of defeats. Today, we don't even put out some sham line about how what we're doing is in the name of Democracy. Nah, today it is perfectly obvious that our soldiers are fighting for the honor of American businesses that rape the environment in far away places so we can waste it in our pickups. Spreading Democracy, not a chance, it's just a flex. Today, despite history telling a different story, right wing America thinks the entire thing is about oil right now. This despite Trump first saying he wanted to cause an uprising. He then started murdering all their leaders and murdered children. Once the Iranians not only defeated Trump, but coalesced around standing up to him, the Republican Party retreated to making this about oil and began amassing forces for a ground invasion. None of it makes a lick of sense unless the Navy is Exxon's security force. This from the drill baby drill / energy independence party. The Needless War in Iran will do more for renewable energy than climate change.
This needless war in Iran will have repercussions for generations. The Republicans are rejecting tourists and workers at our borders if their phones somehow give them away as a Trump critic. Yet both Europe and the Middle East are giving us the middle finger. Canada has even successfully shut down whiskey distillation in Kentucky for the first time. So how the Republicans had planned to make the country great by pissing off every ally we ever had is a mystery. They have done each and everything they could do to make the world unaffordable and unsustainable. It was always a joke that Trump was sending his son in law to end a war. But the fact that it was always a lie, one carried on for a week in the midst of a conflict, means Trump has to go asap. The Republicans would save a lot of face come the midterms if they impeach him and get rid of him next month.
