The American Pope Stands Up For America

 Let's be real for a minute. The Pope, aka The Holy See, is not concerned with Donald Trump. The Pope however is challenging Conservative Christian viewpoints on the separation of Church & State, as well other popular opinions untethered to scripture. Pope Leo is well aware of the abuse of Jesus by those calling the DOD the Dept. of War. 


Elected Republicans are walking around America using their pronounced dedication to Christianity to excuse away Trump's racism, violence and self enrichment. The Republicans have built abhorrent prison camps and filled them with Catholic and Christian migrants fleeing violence and corruption. The Republicans have proclaimed they are doing the work of the Bible by removing the evil doers, and their supporters think it is righteous to follow these political marching orders. Meanwhile, the parents of Marines, old ladies gardening and most disgustingly, folks dutifully showing up to immigration court proceedings, are being hauled away, never to be seen again by a judge, a lawyer or a family member.

But it is more than an attack on our own people and our own Democratic institutions, isn't it ? The Republicans claim Jesus and not some page in the lawbook to bomb boats on the high seas from CIA planes disguised as non military. Republicans claim Jesus and not an order from a Judge to machine gun people in Venezuela and bring the Maduros to New York City for no good reason. Not only are the charges against the Maduros absolutely ridiculous, the entire episode lies outside Democracy and inside the castle of a King. And now, in the ultimate show up disrespect for anything Holy, the Republicans claim to be bombing Iran for Jesus. And sadly, people calling themselves Christian, have gone along with this, the flattening of Gaza and the invasion of Lebanon, precisely because their leaders have invoked Jesus and his approval of it all. The lack of dissent is worse than the lack of proper planning for any of these events that the United States of America has sanctioned. 

What else would the Republicans have to coalesce their supporters ? Their expansion of ICE proves two things. They don't care about small government. And they don't care about your local police. The Republicans have thwarted both Police Raises and the expansion of immigration courts in order to jail, not deport, hundreds of thousands of people needlessly. The Republicans have backslidden our Democracy and murdered Americans in the streets, in cold blood. Only the Republicans' insistence that Jesus made me do it keeps any kind of coalition going for them. And it makes sense for them to attack the Pope as soft on crime since the very last thing that the Republican Platform resembles is Christianity. 

For the Republicans in 2026, United Nations inspectors, the consent of our allies, peace negotiations and any concern for the economic stability of the world are absent from their calculations. The Pope is making this very clear. The war with the Pope is another losing battle for Conservative Christians, who should contemplate not calling themselves Christian since all they do is seek to divide people and ignore actual scripture. This is what the Pope makes concrete. Conservative Christians, when they do accurately quote the Bible, they are quoting the Catholic Bible, put together by the Catholic Church. And if these Conservative Christians do actually attend a Mass, it most likely resembles the two thousand year old Catholic Mass celebrated throughout the world. The Pope is standing up for his people, their actual religion and those who take Faith seriously. 

Come the midterms, the choice will be easy. Serious people versus non serious people. People who respect religious freedom versus those who definitely do not. Those who love America versus those who wish to live under a tyrant.

  What happened to the business minded Republican Party ? In my lifetime, a republican is supposed to be hyper efficient and no nonsense when it comes to problem solving in Congress. Classically, a republican has no time for the slow drudge of government and the tentacles of regulation. But in 2026 that has been turned on its head by Trump and his steroid pumping leadership. Muskrat Lightning 10-16 PRIMO'S

  The Allman Brothers, The New Orleans Meters, The Jerry Garcia Band, what group on Delmarva displays the ability to jam on these greats, and their own equally as awesome catalog ?  Muskrat Lightning is the answer. The scene was Beach Barrels in Ocean City. But the vibe was Haight Ashbury meets Congo Square. Muskrat Lightning threw down on Friday night.
