Ignorant President & a political party on the brink

Happy Independence Day America. Boy do we have an ignorant President. And for sure we have an extremist republican party on the brink of breaking up into little extremist movements. The party in denial of global warming got a heat dome for the holidays. And the party against clean energy is on their knees in Iran. The president from the party responsible for endless wars is calling everyone names, like a child. 

The President just gave a speech about communists. But the extent to which either himself or any member of his administration can define that word is lacking. The President feels he can just throw that word around to spread fear for his political enemies. Yet it is his outlandish stupidity, and that of his party that America fears. The republican party never celebrated the Cold War victory over the communists. They became commuinists and went after minorites and the poor. That's Reagan's legacy. This is how we got to Trump, part one and two. When a republican spouts about communists, what they mean are Americans who don't agree with them.

Rooting out dissent is the realm of the communist. Using violence and lawfare are common characteristics too. Trump should have had a mirror with him when he started ranting about communists. Trump has turned the entire republican party into the Russian Politburo, and all his followers into gutless turncoats. Trump just made a billion and a half dollars off of cryptocurrency, in only his first year back in office. Nothing spells Communist Leader like this kind of fleecing of the people. What Trump doesn't understand, is always his achilles heel. What he referred to last night were dictatorships, not communism. His speech was an indictment of his own election lies and democratic backsliding.

Republicans like Trump still, after all this time and money, have no real plan on how to get people out of this country who they don't like. It was Democratic President Obama who both signed a peace deal with Iran and deported people in high numbers. Trump will never be Obama. But he could have just continued Obama's policies and been more successful. This insuation by the republicans that the country led by Obama is a different place than Trump's golden era is their most communist act. The republicans have gone all in on the number one aspect of all communist dictatorships - the myth of the great leader.

The one Maryland republican, Andy Harris, just came out in support of repealing the 17th ammendment. Andy wants the state legislature to vote for the Senate, not the people. Combine this effort with Trump's election lies and his siezure of ballots and you have what looks like a bunch of communists. They certainly aren't supportive of our repubublic. The republicans sow mistrust in our Founding Father's vision with aggressive challenges to judges rulings and prescedents. 

Down in Louisiana, where the new immigrant prisons are full, as folks pass by on their way to Mardi Gras or Jazzfest, the affect of Trump's communism are everywhere. Speaker Johnson, the Senate's John Kennedy and Trump are leaving a forever stamp on Louisiana. The republican legislature and Governor have gone 1940s racist on the legal system of New Orleans, upending elections and erasing their results. They are funding modern power plants that could power New Orleans, but they're going to data centers getting built on land owned by republican politicians. It's so bad that a jury in New Orleans last week ordered the arrest of the state's AG. The state Supreme Court had to step in right as the Orleans Sheriff was going to slap cuffs on the Attorney General. This is Trump's communist dictatorship coming home to roost. This is the chaos of anti democratic forces. 

The Trump Administration has gone into Democratic enclaves, where people are educated and make a good living, and created violent chaos. In areas under republican control, they're taking advantage of poorer, under educated groups. They are trying to rewrite the laws and erase Democracy. They embody communists as their leader spews nonsense about just about everybody, like a dictator. The republican attempt at some kind of uniparty, as they decry DEMOCRATS at every turn, is one of the most communist acts in the history of communism. 

The mayor of New York City is not a communist, he's the mayor of the most capitalist democratic city in the history of the world. The President is from there. Perhaps his opinion is shaped by the fact that he is a convicted felon and sexual predator in New York City. The President had to run away to the Epstein Files and Florida.  

The republican party should be fractured into pieces after the midterm. The party that accused Hunter Biden and his family of being corrupt is complicit in the largest governmental hoodwink in our 250 year history. But the financial crimes are trumped by the illegal murders. Our country will hand over members of the Trump adminstration to authorities for a long time. Trump can yell like a crazy person about communists all he wants. He's the one guilty of war crimes and murder on the high seas. Trump needs to pay that woman he sexually abused and explain his wealth creation. His track record is one of a communist dictator. He has proven that Kamala Harris was the better choice for those wanting a great America.

Let's throw some logic out there. Since all that any republican anywhere can point to as a success is the stock market, it should not be an issue for the avergage republian voter to vote for Democrats come the misterm. Biden already had the stock market. That's not Trump's stock market. That's the stock market that Biden took the inflation hit to save. Trump's ability to claim any kind of success is completely due to Biden. And Biden was right to go green, go jobs, go United Nations and GO UKRAINE. Trump and the republicans are weak and anti democratic. Their ignoirance is historic. 

ps the day after I wrote this, Trump held a cordial 90 minute call with Putin regarding ways that he, Trump, could help Putin end the war with Ukraine.... for years, republicans have allowed Trump to call that war, "Biden's War." - Trump turned the entire republican party into a bunch of orderly communists no doubt..

The 2026 Voter Advice Column

  What happened to the business minded Republican Party ? In my lifetime, a republican is supposed to be hyper efficient and no nonsense when it comes to problem solving in Congress. Muskrat Lightning 10-16 PRIMO'S

  The Allman Brothers, The New Orleans Meters, The Jerry Garcia Band, what group on Delmarva displays the ability to jam on these greats, and their own equally as awesome catalog ?  Muskrat Lightning is the answer. The scene was Beach Barrels in Ocean City. But the vibe was Haight Ashbury meets Congo Square. Muskrat Lightning threw down on Friday night.
