Midterm Ammunition
7/26
Many have a right to be scared of the Republicans in 2026. They're deporting people showing up for court. They're deporting people after changing their status. They're literally driving around and racial profiling America as I type. And they are covering up what Blackwater is doing in Haiti to combat gangs, despite wanting to send hundreds of thousands of Haitians home. There's also a cover up as to why they are shooting missiles at speed boats coming from other countries they want to deport people to. The Republicans, for a lot of people, are either shooting at them directly, or sending them directly to a shooting gallery.
But I'm not scared and neither should anyone reading this. I am frankly fascinated that the Republicans are copying literally every movie I have ever seen that details authoritarianism, and seemingly jumping from the pages of Orwell's 1984 on a daily basis. It's as if the Republicans are totally ignorant to history, decency, art or the meaning of anything. The Republicans are making solar panels and museums illegal, while killing or jailing anyone they wish across the globe.
The Republicans seem to back up the rationale for all the people who come to our borders to seek asylum. They cannot seem to deploy free market capitalism to Cuba, Haiti and Venezuela and bring them into the democratic fold. No, not at all. Instead, they are relying on the CIA to deal with all of that. If the US has to use private armies in Haiti, the military itself to extract the President of Venezuela and camouflaged airplanes to shoot at people on the high seas in both the Atlantic and Pacific, how in the world could a Republican politician deny someone asylum from anywhere in Latin or South America ? The Republicans aren't making any sense as they trounce our basic freedoms, the ones historically enjoyed by anyone standing on this land.
Look at how the Republicans treat our neighbors. Canada cozied up to the EU, instead of continuing to be an important trade partner. Canada stopped America from producing whiskey, let alone producing American cars. Mexico, like Canada, produces all sorts of products we use everyday, and workers flood back and forth across the border every day (nobody tells maga it's always been that way). And what does Mexico get from the Republican majority aside from racism and the CIA ? Trump can't even open a bridge to Canada, a literal bridge. It's the most basic part of trade, but he sits on it. And Mexico is treated like they are second class, despite doing a great deal of the heavy lifting on immigration that Republicans constantly take credit for.
Look at what lays south of China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. And then look at what lays south of the US, Cuba and Haiti, two places that don't have basic services. Meanwhile, Taiwan and Hong Kong have been leading the world in quite a few sectors for generations. It causes one to conjure American competitiveness, let alone superiority. Republicans seem confident in their destruction of the renewable energy sector as they attack the Middle East, again. Yet, doesn't this just reinforce the power of Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil company ? Don't the Republicans' actions simply set in stone for the future that the Saudis will basically control the world economy, the US stock market and energy prices, perhaps forever ?
American markets from transportation to real estate trusts, stocks to bonds, react off of not just how much oil the Saudis wish to pump from their technologically advanced system, but how much money communist nations such as China and pure capitalist dictatorships like Russia, pump into their energy markets. At what point did the Republicans think we could compete with that by stopping renewable energy and handing the power grid over to AI ? The Republican path has been wrong about so many things, but there is agreement by our enemies that we are a weaker country that has sabotaged our own ability to compete while ditching every single ally we had since WW2.
Can the Republicans name one single gang they have eradicated with all their military spending ? They aren't even arresting criminals in the states. They are arresting moms at the park and grandmothers while gardening. It takes Congress to tackle immigration, but the Republicans refused to pass the bill. It takes Congress to unite Canada, the US and Mexico into the economic force it was meant to be. And it certainly takes Congress giving clear direction to our military efforts in Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela and Iran. The chaos that has ensued proves my point. America is not looked at as legitimate under Republican control. The things that the Republicans are doing are not popular, which is akin to a dictatorship. The Republicans are not seeking Congress, they are seeking out the media and dissent. This can end very quickly with a midterm sweep by the Democrats.
