Nuance

We are 100 days away from the midterm. So far, Democratic excitement is lacking. And the DNC is lost at sea, blown apart by the DC establishment, pushed below the waves by Democratic Socialists taking over the party. But wait, is this all occurring because no one is embracing nuance ? The Democrats are getting bullied into positions without a fight.  

It seems rich for the party in power, that's herding immigrants, challenging basic laws, attacking the media and ignoring judges, to be the one calling everyone else communists. Trump, his family and the small group of Epstein Island visitors making decisions, embody a communist dictatorship in every conceivable way. Isn't this perfectly evident ? A small group of elites embracing military actions outside of Congress, combined with a concerted effort to undermine the media and violent reactions to protests, it's all there. The people of Chile and Argentina know full and well what Trump is, they have seen communist dictatorships and juntas for generations.

Nonetheless, when someone turns 18 and google's the Democratic Party, the definitions and related information that pops up should not be 100% 'the government knows everything and taxes are awesome.' There's certainly a little manipulation by billionaires who believe they benefit from Republicans happening online, but the Democrats need to at least start arguing over the nuances. Has anyone in the history of the known universe benefited more from government investment than Mark Zukerberg and Elon Musk ? Where is the reckoning here ? The American taxpayer has created Augustus and Alexander the Great, but they both are turning their tech against the citizens while turning on their actual neighbors. Musk and Zuck can get power plants built and laws written. That's supposed to be Congress' job, on behalf of the people, not Meta and SpaceX. 

The wealth accumulated by the likes of Zuck and Musk calls into question how they got it. These are nuances of course, not a call for switching our country's Constitution. The Republicans saw no irony whatsoever in having Musk, a guy who built electric cars in California, cutting government. Musk got where he's at via lots of taxpayer money, especially for charging stations specifically for his cars. And the irony of the party pushing the Bible into public schools having its two biggest figures, Trump and Musk, owning their very own platforms where violent rhetoric rules, is completely lost. These two guys run the internet like two mobsters and also get to decide what government agencies get to stay ? Where is the conservative, small government, 'God bless America' in there ? It's all missing. The fix is in and the entire Republican Party supports it ? The Bible in schools plus Trump's racist memes about Obama. The Bible plus Musk's AI chatbot undressing people. Ok y'all - I guess the Dems have nothing to run on there.....

Can the Republicans even name an industry that hasn't "exploded after significant government intervention" (Google) ? Why would Democrats and Democratic Socialists spend any time sitting still when the communist label gets tossed around ? Semiconductors, transportation, aviation, the internet and any and all technologies are spurred on by government investment. If anyone embodies communism, it's the Republicans who just subpoenaed a bunch of reporters, again. Between Trump, Musk and Zuck, we're talking about the three people who own a lot of turf on the internet. The three of them agreeing on what to have for lunch is the most communist thing I have ever heard of, let alone the three of them discussing how to control public sentiment, outrage and activism. It is clear these three men are having an effect on daily life. What people see, what people read and the consequences for creating misinformation have been decided by these three. And by the way, there are no consequences. 

My Google AI defines nuance nicely. "Being "nuanced" means possessing or characterized by subtle, multi-layered, and complex details."  To listen to Trump and all the Republicans tell it, their control of all aspects of life, all their pardons of criminals on their side and the jailing of an Olympian over a lie, are not the acts consistent with a communist dictatorship. But they are. Reeling in the data center boondoggle instead of diving into college athletics is what Republicans call communism. But that only makes sense since Republican politicians all over the country are involved with AI datacenter land speculation. Simply allowing long planned renewable energy projects to go forward instead of working to allow the Trump family takeover of cryptocurrency is what the Republicans call communism. But that only makes sense, especially since Republicans seem dead set on fighting wars in the Middle East. Wanting qualified candidates instead of sycophants and oligarchs instead of cheering on Steven Miller calling all administration critics, "deformed," is what the Republicans call communism. But this perhaps does the best job of proving the Democrats are the best choice. The Republicans have turned off Congress in order to let Stephen Miller's racism rule the day. The things these men say are despicable. This is all just too easy to deflect, why isn't it being done ?

 

What the Republicans have engaged in is childish. They're trying to put anyone who disagrees with them in jail, which is the most communist thing ever. And while proclaiming America First, they are blatantly trying to give anyone with the money, access to our military industrial complex, another completely communist act. The Republicans do not get to decide the definition of everything. Their attempt to do so condemns every pillar of their party to the trash heap of history. Communism is an evil word in America. But having those attempting to crush dissent and reinvent the prison industrial complex throwing it around is just disgusting. Trump is literally buying into industries and taking governmental stakes, he is clearly not the right person to throw words around. He takes control of the military, opens federal prison camps everywhere and calls other people communist.

The Democrats are not feckless. Or are they ? I am worried given that I seem to be the only person who cares that a judge just outlined impeachment for Trump, and no one noticed. If the Democrats cannot subvert the dominant paradigm right now, the entire country could be in a lot of trouble. President Vance ? How about President Hegseth ? Where are the Democrats........ Trump is getting away with calling Democrats communist while leading a junta before our eyes, while destroying the media before our eyes and by handing pieces of the economy to his chosen elites.
