We Are Being Rope A Doped By Iran

How has Iran heard of Muhammad Ali, but not Trump ? Most pundits, well paid or not, declared that Trump had lost to Iran months ago. All that seemed left was Congress reeling him in. But Trump is still cursing at Iran on his own personal social media platform, as Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq and Kuwait are added to the theatre of war. 

The United States attacked terrorist camps in Iraq yesterday. You might ask, what year is it ? But the Pentagon never shut down the war in Iraq from 1990. Did you know that ? The United States Department of Veterans Affairs legally defines the Gulf War as ongoing. Aug.2,1990 to the present day, a continuous period. That's 40 years y'all. And this has always been a Republican led effort. 

God Bless Lindsey Graham, but wasn't he wrong about most things ? Trump eulogized Graham by saying he never met a war he didn't want to fight, or something really masculine like that. Yet isn't Lindsey Graham the perfect example of an American politician who totally dropped the ball at the end of the Cold War ? Wasn't Graham, and other's zeal for conflict a result of their complete failure to support democracy throughout the world ? Graham represented a highly subsidized state with a very high crime rate, and like Trump, talked the mobster talk as he talked down to other countries. 

It's too hypocritical for right wing Christians to support endless war in a region where their religion comes from. They seem ignorant to the fact these same areas brought language and culture to humanity. South Carolina has the Gullah from West Africa, an incredible preservation of tradition. Yet here are the Republicans, spending 40 years ignoring the lessons of the 40 years before that, and the 400 years before that. "Stormin" Norman Schwarzkopf (my computer's spell check automatically changed storming to stormin for all of you who read 1984) didn't win us anything ! 

The Gulf War started in 1990, and we didn't capture Saddam Huissein until 2003. It's 2026 and Trump has told America that he obliterated Iran ten times this year, 20 times last year and 30 times during his first administration. Obama finalized his nuclear deal with Iran in 2015. Since Trump just attempted to sign a nuclear deal with the Saudis the other day, this kind of stuff must interest the Republicans on some level ! Of course, Trump forgot the Saudis don't recognize Israel and all. But Obama's deal put United Nations inspectors on the ground and was comprehensive. There's a pretty good chance this region will never, ever get back to that level of cooperation with the West, if the United States is led by Republicans.

The current Republican majority in the US is getting rope-a-doped by Iran. We just keep hitting them, over and over. And all that happens is they hit either a secret CIA base or a troop base somewhere else, with a capability that Trump swore they didn't have. Our allies have fled and we are left on the battlefield with the Saudis, who we have now pledged to share nuclear technology with. So not only did Trump lose to Iran, he's now down on his knees in the desert, out of money, out of weapons and out of alliances. 

I have to ask the American voter, where is this all going ? We've gone from a war of choice, a dalliance, something that Trump said would take a month, to a conflict that has rearranged the entire globe and altered the world economy. Trump's war ignited the Chinese electric car market. So while he and his Republicans are siding with Saudi Aramco, and going all in on oil and endless war, they could very well be condemning the US to second class status. The Republicans have led us down a treacherous path. Everything they have done under Trump has strengthened Russia and China. The Republicans have been backsliding our Democracy at home, while maxing out the credit card abroad. Under the Republican Party, we are losing the country.

The 2026 Voter Advice Column

  What happened to the business minded Republican Party ? In my lifetime, a republican is supposed to be hyper efficient and no nonsense when it comes to problem solving in Congress. Classically, a republican has no time for the slow drudge of government and the tentacles of regulation. But in 2026 that has been turned on its head by Trump and his steroid pumping leadership. Muskrat Lightning 10-16 PRIMO'S

  The Allman Brothers, The New Orleans Meters, The Jerry Garcia Band, what group on Delmarva displays the ability to jam on these greats, and their own equally as awesome catalog ?  Muskrat Lightning is the answer. The scene was Beach Barrels in Ocean City. But the vibe was Haight Ashbury meets Congo Square. Muskrat Lightning threw down on Friday night.
