Let's Explain It All To The Republicans
The Danube is giving up all of its WW2 ships. The Colorado River is in crisis. And the storms keep coming. Hurricane Katrina was known as a Once In A Thousand Years storm. But Ida hit some of the same spots with stronger winds 15 years later.
Inevitably, a great deal of the outrageous amount of money that gasoline refiners like Exxon are making presently, will go into renewable energy. Their industry research proved global warming was happening, and depsite what Republicans might imply, they have invested heavily into alternatives.
The more Republicans deny climate related issues with water, energy and the economy, the more Biden and Harris look like a couple of geniuses. The Republicans have slashed funding for renewable energy, renewable energy jobs and and in doing so have run the American consumer into the hands of Saudi Aramco.
Floating liquid natural gas platforms in Louisiana, fracking in Pennsylvania and Elon Musk's methane powered turbines, do not replace Biden's Green Economy. Not only can it all coexist, it all may need to. The Republicans are not only in denial of global warming, they're in denial of the consequences of their own actions.
The war in Iran has boosted electric vehicles worldwide, not because of global warming, but because people aren't getting oil shipments. At a time when Republicans want to go it alone in an all out war in Iran, wouldn't it be nice to have green energy infastructure in place to insulate Americans from higher prices ?
Fossile fuels are a limited resource. As much as Republicans try to make this an issue between them and Democrats, it's between God and the Earth. Water is also a limited resource. Our resevoirs prove it. The Danube proves it. Interestingy, the Saudis, the kings of oil, have been building desalination plants forever. How did the Republicans miss all that ?
The Republicans seem hyper focused on screaming about communism, but they have missed the boat completely. We have to invest in our country, modernize. We are a capitalist republic, but our politicians need to vote to spend some money. We are falling behind. But as this argument plays out, it's not just the infrastructure that's failing. Our own people are falling behind.
Our capitalist system can invest in hospitals, again. Our capitalist system can invest in bridges, again. And this game that Republicans play with renewable energy needs to cease. I live in a Republican area, and all the local governments, and all the large local businesses, have solar farms.
Almost 30% of the energy grid in Texas is wind power. It is high time for Republicans to be quiet on global warming and green energy. More FEMA money gets spent in Texas after hurricanes than anywhere, including Louisiana. JFK needed solar energy to put a Man on the Moon. The Republican war on renewable energy is "disgusting" and "communist," don't you agree ?
The money that Biden wanted to spend investing in solar plants, wind farms and EFFECIENCY, in order to power the 50 states, is interestingly the same amount that the America First gang wants to spend in Iran. The amount of jobs that Biden's Green New Deal wanted to create is interestingly the same amount that the America First gang wants to sacrifice to AI.
