High gas prices and inflation are permanent given that the Republicans have upended the world order and erased America's influence. Crushing dissent, using the legal system against the media, defunding your local police in order to create a federal secret police force, enriching a small group of favored donors, threatening citizenship and attempting to outlaw elections are the auspices of communist authoritarians, which is what the Republican Party has devolved into. Loss after loss for Trump in the courts, on top of a disastrous war where he's been busted lying every day, sets the Republican Party up for decimation at the midterms.  My republican friends need to remember the entire issue with Trump taking classified docs versus the docs photographed still in their boxes next to Joe's corvette.   Conservatives attack Democracy when they don't get what they want. This is a far cry from the beginnings of the Republican Party as an anti slavery party.   4/7/26 Trump is one incredible failure. He took out a full page ad in NYC in 1989 calling for the death penalty for five innocent youngsters. Then he bankrupted the entire town of Atlantic City, by selfishly declaring chapter 11 on four different occasions in '91,'92, '04 and '09. As president the first time, he was impeached twice for things he did, it's just that a handful of republican senators who he'd turn on later, decided to let him off the hook. Now we have Iran extorting individual ships for millions, demanding war reparations and Trump's only response is to threaten to blow up power plants and roads, two things that are completely illegal.  Trump is a bigot. Classically, a republican has no time for the slow drudge of government and the tentacles of regulation. But in 2026 that has been turned on its head by Trump and his steroid pumping leadership.   First, Mr. President, please pause this war for the NCAA tournament. America cannot, in good conscience, dodge work, watch television and gamble on Thursday and Friday with you and Israel attacking multiple countries.  Speaking of Israel, Mr. President, please speak to them about what a ceasefire consists of. Israel already flattened the Gaza Strip, but they continue to attack refugee camps six months into a ceasefire. Almost a thousand of the over 70,000 people that Israel has killed have come since the ceasefire.  While we are speaking about military terms, Mr. President, please talk to your Secretary of Defense about who wrote the rules of war after WW2 that international law abides by.
